Promising company out in China...

Anyone ever use their PL mount rehouses?

They make a Tokina 11-16, a 100mm macro and a 70-200mm that I'm keen on

Thoughts?

I have both the 11-16 and 70-200
I'm very satisfied. Can't beat the cost benefit of these lenses. They are very well built.
hes making a 16-28 (I believe) looking good!

Tokina full frame 16-28 will be $5,500. He is $1000 cheaper.

we have (4) of Nan's converted GL lenses here for rent if anybody would like to try. They are well built and a very good value.

11-16mm
70-200mm
100mm mac
16-28mm

Eric what's the 100mm Macro like? I'm very interested in this lens. But the 'test' footage I've seen online is… well… crappy compressed, muddy, poorly lit, poorly composed, online test footage. Build quality doesn't seem to be an issue, since everyone who has GL's seems happy.

I guess I should search for still shot with the Tokina - but I'm looking for a first hand account of someone who has the lens.

**EDIT**

Found this on the FJS site - they are stocking / selling the GL Optics lenses, for those of you who are afraid to send money to China and feel more secure buying in Florida.

OK - I'll take a leap...

I just ordered the 100mm Macro from Nan / GL optics. PayPal transaction, prompt emails, promise of DHL delivery to my door by middle of next week.

Pictures / footage here by the week after, and I'll bring it along to the Toronto REDUser group meeting on June 6th.

I am very happy with its Contax.
Excellent communication (e-mail and skype)
Very helpful and friendly.

Here is a review of the lens (I believe this is the one he uses to re-house)

Sup Ricki Boy... longtime no smell...I liked GL Optics glass sooooo much I took the liberty to throw a couple vids to GL Optics aswell as chronicle the time stamps in which I used the 11-16 and the 70-200, cut in with my Zeiss Superspeeds... Looks like they uploaded the work as well as my diatribe of time codes here https://vimeo.com/gloptics No one over there @ GL asked me for any of these videos, I just kept seeing doubtful folks on here asking questions, believe in there product and took it upon myself to spend the 2 hours or so it took to look through/timestamp all that content and ftp over....Last but not least, his build quality is just right, but just right after his aim to please... I couldn't have made a better purchase... Might just help with your upcoming ZenDoggish adventure... hmm... Now that I think about it... Maybe Ill go make my own thread with the above link about my experience tonight or tomorrow...

Just release full frame 24-70 rehouse. It is bread and butter of zooms.
I wish somebody rehoused Nikons ED. 17-35, 28-70.

Hi Jiri. Where did you see the 24-70?

I think Nan is think of going the tokina way as well. Somehow Tokinas seem well suited for cine conversions.
