The GL Optics 70-200mm f2.8 zoom is a beautifully rehoused Canon 70-200mm L-Series zoom. My lens has both PL and EF mounts (additional mount was $350 new). The lens holds focus while zooming and the mechanics of the rehousing are outstanding. Like the Canon 70-200mm donor lens, it covers full frame and has proven Canon optics. After using a lot of canon still lenses it's nice to have proper manual focus, zoom and iris rings.
The glass is PERFECT. The mechanics are excellent. Cosmetically the lens looks like the day I bought it. I'm only selling it because I have the Zeiss CZ.2 zooms now and I can't justify owning two 70-200 cine zooms...unfortunately.
IMPORTANT: this is the newer light-weight version of the lens (95mm front diameter). The original GL 70-200 was much heavier and had a 114mm front.
The lens was bought new along with the extra EF mount for $6350. At $5300 it's a great deal for a like-new lens.
$5300 or best offer.
