Just took delivery of my 70-200mm & 11-16mm lenses from GL Optics.
These are rehoused Canon & Tokina glass with PL mounts
For the price these lenses are quite surprising.....! They are solid.....!
Will do a few basic tests, for sharpness, contrast & vignetting etc.
But right now im very happy.
Thank you Nan from GL Optics.

Those look sweet Paul! That 70-200 would be very useful shooting a live show!

GL optics has come up a few times… but I can't seem to find them. Am I looking in the wrong places? How much are these?

Is the 70-200, the Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II or is it the Mark I version?

Also do you notice if they made any modifications to the lens to help with breathing?

yes the lens holds focus through the zoom range......
There is a small amount of breathing.....
As for glass used in this conversion I think it's from the MKII version of the lens...
The lens is marked serial # CA3MKII - then a 9 digit number
Cheers
Paul

here are a few pics of lens markings and lens model.
Im guessing that the SN marking is stating that its a CA canon MKII is mark two series of the lens......?
Lens markings are good, very clear and seem to have a good spread of distances, they get a bit tighter up the long end, but no reason you couldn't remark lens if needed.

Tests please.

It is the MKI lens.

the mk1 non IS was not canon's best. wide open it was fairly soft. shame they are not using the mkII, which is much better wide open. it would make this lens more expensive, but only a fraction, while the quality, and desirability would improve greatly for me.

They will modify your own lens, so you could send them an MKII and have this conversion done...
