In the next couple of weeks we are going to be testing two of our New products on the flowcine family.
The 2 axis Puppeteer in spring configuration, together with The Black arm.
The idea behind this combo is this.
Gimbals like the Ronin or the Movi, or similar are build to work with light weight cameras.
Most of them are maxed out their motors performance with the max load , and their motors will not behave in extreme environments, very sudden bumbs will cause flex n various joints and parts and also force the motors to miss behave, or even force the motor joints to flex or get damaged.
Bigger gyrostabilised heads like the Scorpio, or the flighthead, are build like tanks both in structure and with huge torques that allow to play with any load like a toy, as well as take a lot of abuse, both from hardmounts and vehicle mounts big low frequency and high frequency vibrations. Even for those big brothers, special mounts are build to absorb vertical and axial vibrations in different configurations.
We have approached this matter with the Puppeteer 2 axis combo with the Black arm in a very different perspective converting a 3 axis Gimbal to a 6 axis stabilization system.
the New idea that we have patented is that the Puppeteer 2 axis will stabilise the gimbal and camera load around almost their COG, and eliminate the majority of the vibrations that are produced in X and Y axis before they get on the Gimbal. Before that, the Black arm will absorb all the vertical Z axis vibrations and together this combo will eliminate most of the very evil and harming vibrations that most if not all Gimbals can not deal with. That in theory means bigger lenses allowing the max performance of your Gimbal shooting into extreme conditions from vehicles even on off road environments.
We are going to be testing at those environments in the next few weeks mounting the pictured configuration on an off road beast and see how far we can take this and we will post the videos here for people to view what can be done , hopefully testing more than One Gimbals with this Combo.
stay tuned until then here is the picture of the combo.:reddevil:
