anyone know of whatever became of the Gigapxl Project, it's image gallery and it's developer Graham Flint?

There's a GigaPixel machine which may be related - the Gigapan. I'm not sure if Graham Flint was involved, because "Gigapan was formed in 2008 as a commercial spin-off of a successful research collaboration between a team of researchers at NASA and Carnegie Mellon University."

I have one and have sold a few photos made with it. I use the Kolor software for compiling the images, but you need a lot of RAM. I've seen it go over 80GB while processing one image.

A division of my company uses drones to perform structural inspections at nuclear and fossil-fueled power plants. We use the Kolor software to stitch the images into a single gigapixel pano. For a cooling tower for example, this is about 1 thousand images. At the moment Kolor is the only option to handle this type of project, and it is still very challenging and time consuming to correct for parallax errors.
