Hey guys, thought I should bring this up.
It's the new system for creating gigapixel panoramic images for DSLR's from Gigapan Systems...something that I have little interest in for it's intended function: i do unit photography, portraiture etc. with some interest in timelapses but i'd like to build a DIY system with an arduino controller for that thanks to Tom and his website.
However what got my interest (aside from the name...EPIC, heh) is the price point...$900, the weight it can handle (up to 10lbs) which got me thinking...ultra cheap motion control head for scarlet? I've only had a brief glance at the website so I'm not sure if that's possible...the unit seems to be built around having a connection to the camera and acting as an intervalometer. However if there is just a "dumb" pan mode, oh boy... :reddevil:
