I am looking for an energetic and motivated individual to help me sell a lot of professional photography, videography, lighting, grip, and media equipment acquired over 25 years in business, over in the next 2-3 months. You must be hard-working and reliable, with great references, and experience working in or with photo / video / film retail, rental houses, repair facilities, or larger commercial studios. Gaffer, grip, cinematographer, and photography interests are a good fit. Should have eBay selling experience, be savvy with internet research, etc. The gear you are selling will be correlated to your experience and interests.
This is a part-time or full-time schedule for likely several months, and can lead to a permanent position offered as equipment rental manager, once we pare down less needed stock to open up new value-driven gear rental shop / motion & still studio space on west side of Toronto / Mississauga / Oakville.
This is a freelance (independent contractor) gig to be paid at the end of each monthly anniversary, as a draw against % of sales. No sales, no pay. I will help you with all the equipment info and provide systems, support, and info for you to do this effectively.
You can borrow gear at no charge that is for sale, to use on days off, up to value of completed sales, as a perk.
Payment up to $30/hr. from sales achieved. Default schedule is 10am-7pm (to avoid traffic). Location is Islington Ave, between Lakeshore and Gardiner, in Mimico / Etobicoke. Getting a ride with me is available from King & Dufferin most days, if downtown. 20+ hrs. per week commitment. Flexible schedule.
