Hey Guys

Pretty soon its going to be festival time at Sundance, Tribeca, and South by Southwest and because most festivals accept submissions through DVD's, I was wondering how you guys prepare your final video into a DVD. I can say that using Windows DVD Maker is entirely insufficient and if you guys could recommend programs, workflows, etc then that'll be really helpful.

Thanks

Adobe's Encore is what I use. If you're going to Adobe route..encode through Adobe's Media Encoder with a max bit-rate of 8mb/sec for SD DVD and a controlled bit rate of 35MB/Sec for Blu-Ray.

You could also use DVDSP as well...though I highly recommend encoding your files with compressor, NOT DVDSP.

The review process is normally DVD for most festivals, but almost all have a lot of options for show. To me the jpeg2000 dcp 2k full container does the best and most festivals now can use that (none as far as i know accept the 4k full container). Another good options is 35mm print using 4k dcp, but $30k cost to make a high quality print is kind of icky for low budget guys (I think we are way better off going 2k full container rather then a low quality 35mm print). Would like to hear what others are doing/thinking.

^^^ Yeup. I use Encore with similar settings.

Hey guys, any other recommendations other than Adobe products?
