Could someone explain this in a little more detail. I can't seem to get a genlock signal out of the preview output.

Okay, erm, when an AJA Gen10 is plugged into Flair, it says "synced" when the Red output is plugged in, Flair says "no sync pulse"

What signal from the AJA are you feeding the Flair ?

I can't seem to get a genlock signal out of the preview output.

You will not get a genlock (sync) signal out of the PVW output. You will get a genlocked signal out of it if you have a sync signal connected to the genlock input of the camera.

The sync input on a Flair system expect either a shutter pulse from a film camera, or an analogue (either black and burst or tri-level) sync signal. It will not lock to the HD-SDI signal from the Red (or any other camera).

You need to feed sync signals from the GEN10 to both the camera and the Flair.
