Well, I finally ingested all 600gb to pro res sq 1920x1080 at 1/4 debayer (It took a lot of time to convert to 1/2 good) using red cine-x. I had never used it, it tok me some minutes to get used to the interface. Much better than red rushes and any red program I had used before. Now I am all for syncing and making the first cut.

Been a long time, but here I come with new questions: I've been offered to edit a videoclip shot also with red one. My questions are:
- Will I have any problems with any speed change, transitions or any effect that I might apply when I send to color?
My planned workflow is: I have already ingested all the takes to prores with red cine x. I will use clipfinder to change them with proxies and then I'll send it to color. After doing all the color corrections I will render pro res 4444 and that will also be the final output for the finished product.
On a different topic:
- Also, I've been looking for this unsuccessfully so far. How do I open and edl or xml file with red cine x? I just can't see the option in the program

Hi,
I'm having playback problems in FCP. It used to work but one time FCP froze up and since then I can't work on proxy clips without having to render them first. Obviously it's very annoying. I've tried reinstalling FCP, Quicktime, all the RED codecs from the website and nothing seemed to work. I went through the manuals and whitepapers but all of that didn't have any effect. I'm on a Quad-Core MacPro with 8 gigs of RAM so that shouldn't be the problem.
I've tried contacting tech support but haven't received word from them yet. This is a very pressing matter so I really need this to work pretty soon.
Any advice or tips? Thanks in advance.
