Hi all,

Just need some quick help on the gemini.

I am wanting to get rid of all the unwanted info that is cluttering up the live picture.

- Focal Length
- Focal Distance
- 3D LUT (if i put on on)
- Clip number
- Timecode

If there is anyway to drop this i would love to know.

Thank you in advance.

I.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your quick response yesterday.

I navigated to the Monitor settings (Top Monitor) and deselected tools. But this only took away my ability to use tools with my hot buttons. The text over the live screen remained.

I am guessing i have done something wrong in the process, but i have looked all throughout the menu's in depth multiple times. I can not find a way to turn off the text...

This is probably where i should mention that i still want to have access to false colours and edge focus.

Kind regards,
I.

If you go to - Menu>Overlays>Custom>Create>Overlay Editor - you can choose what gets displayed on your monitor and save it as a preset that gets loaded automatically when you start up the camera.

With the custom overlay in place, you can still use a button or the touch-screen to switch back to the default overlay to access menu's etc. if you need to.

Hi Les,

Thank you for that.

Yesterday during a shoot, i made some hot button fixes and found the ability to toggle text overlay. So now i have it set to a button for when i want a clean live picture.

But that is amazing to know that i can assign which text i want and which text i dont, as the toggle button takes away the record icon. So i would love to keep that up for obvious reasons.

Thank you again,
I.

No worries Isaac, I use no-overlay-view (LCD Top: Cycle Mode) and a customized overlay a lot myself, am glad RED implemented the feature and that you've found it useful too.
