Gemini Anamorphic

Hi all,

Curious to know if it is possible to use 1.8x , 1.6x or 1.5x anamorphic lenses and display the correct aspect.

with 2x , 1.3x and 1.25x I was hoping there would be a way to use at least 1.8x anamorphic in some way considering the Gemini is said to be the best DMSC2 for anamorphic due to the tall sensor.

Any ideas on how this is possible I would love to know!

If you choose on the monitor eg 5k and tap advanced on the left corner, you can choose then anamorphic and 2x or 1.8x or other options. Also 5k 6:5 or 4K 4:3 ect or even 1.7:1/FF ect. Just play around with it. I think you will find a good solution

Are you thinking of the Momstro?

The Gemini seems to only have 2x, 1.3x and 1.25x

if you have a way of making one of those options become 1.8x please let me know

You are right. I wrongly wrote that. After checking now I saw it.
i had shortly cooke anamorphic FF 1.8x and thought I set this in cam. But then I remembered: I shot in 1.71’ desqueezed in davinci 1.8x and set 2.350x1000 pixels. so I got my aspect ratio in the end.
