I have the 17mm-50mm Red lens for my Scarlet-x.
Can someone tell me what the pitch on the Focus ring is?
0.5 pitch, 0.6, 0.7. 0.8 ?

Thanks

In the US we use standard pitch and that would be 32p. That is the number of teeth that would fit on a 1" rack. I am about 90% sure that in metric it's .8. Scientists have been struggling to understand what the hell the metric gear system means for quite some time now, and I hear they are coming closer to an understanding.

LOL @ Nick

Whilst on gear pitch I noticed russian gear rings are at 50 pitch. Anyone ( like Nick ; ) ) ever tried using it or have they been converted to 32 pitch ?

I believe canon video lenses use 50p gears as well, so most FF manufacturers offer a 50p gear. I have one for my Arri ff, and one for my cinetech ff. Although all my lenses are now 32p. I took the gears on my lomos and spun the old teeth off on a lathe. That left just enough material to cut 32p teeth into which I did. BTW russian lenses used 32p gears for a lot of stuff, I believe that all the lenses with the 50p gears made for the Kinor 35 H and S packages.
