  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GB: NiSi Cine Rota-CPL-Tray insert for 4x5.65 & 6x6 MB's

Count me in for one 4x5.65 Rotating CPL (Standard).

Thanks Ketch.

How does it then work? Never been on a group sale. Just read the original post.

Are we then contacted by email by the seller, Nisi, and get an invoice which upon paid the filter is sent?

Is it safe buying? I mean, are we really dealing with Nisi? No offence, Rocky, just making sure.

Dinis,

The way it works is simple, same as all other GB's, you put your name down for what you want, and once the GB closes all participants get contacted via PM in this forum and are given the info to contact directly the participating Seller, in this case NiSi.

In all honesty I should feel offended :)

Even so you are new to the forum, the fact that I am a Senior Member of this Forum since the very beginning (for just over a Decade now) with over 14000 posts. . .

I think it's safe to say it is not a scam :)

Just let me know which CPL are you interested in and I'll put your name down.

haha, well, as Ketch said, he is so well known in this forum, held many GB, and you don't have to worry about that.

After the GB end, i will contact you guys and send you an invoice, then you make payment and i delivery filters. Some friends in this GB had attended another NiSi filters GB that was held last year.

Thers is a easy way to check if i am working for NiSi: You can send message to our facebook page: NiSi Cinema Filters or NiSi Filters, and my personal FB is Rocky Deng.

Any questions, please let me know. :)

I'm sorry if I offended you, Ketch. And Rocky. You have a great point, didn't think to see the number of posts.
But thanks for explaining anyway how it works.

So I'm in for a standard CPL 4x5.65
:)

Ha ha, don't worry Dinis, all good, I did put the smily face after my "should be offended" comment :)

And done, your in.

Ketch, I may be interested in (2) of the 5.65 Enhanced CPL.

Couple questions:

1) How wide of a lens can you use with this filter before you get a lens vignette? I've tried other rota-pola's and have been un-impressed with the coverage- not the filter itself. Obviously, I'd keep this filter in the tray closest to the lens to maximize coverage, but want to know what to expect.

2) Between the Enhanced and Regular versions, are they 1.5 stop pola's? I apologize if this was posted, didn't see any specs on that.

3) Why call these 4x5.6 filters when they are actually round? Shouldn't they just be 5.65x? Just wondering...

Current happy owner of multiple sets of NISI filters. Still waiting for ROCKY to make a 5.65 x 5.65 filter set though! C'mon man!

Thanks,

Alex

Hey Alexander,
Those where 3 not couple :)

The reason I love this type of Drop Ins Trays is exactly because now in combo with the Bright Tangerine Misfit (Pictured on first post) I can go wider then I coudl ever do with any other MB CPL combo. To go the widest simply try only to use 1x ND + the Rota CPL of choice.

The Enhanced has about 1/2 stop difference.

They are called 4x5.65 & 6x6 because while they actually have the traditional 138mm Circular Rotating Polarizer inside, this are by all means actual 4x5.65 & 6x6 Drop in Trays.

Glad you are an other happy NiSi filter user.

Please confirm if you like to participate an I'll add you.

GB now set to 25% OFF!

GB now set to 25% OFF!

EDIT: GB now set to 25% off!

NOTE: After proposing it to NiSi, Rocky just informed that since the original number for offered discounts tiers was set high, they agreed to jump the 20% discount tier and go strait to a 25% off despite the numbers of participants, and since we only have one more week it will be very hard to get to 50, so this way every one has an extra incentive to participate, hope I did the right thing and every one is happy :)

If I order two filters, is there savings on shipping? Thinking of ordering an enhanced one as well as it does seem to make the colors really pop.

Yes shipping is per individual order, so you'll save on shipping as the standard fees will be split by two, so you'll be paying half shipping cost on each filter.

And yes, the Enhance's CPL job is exactly that of making colors pop and also do help render better on the Skin, I have both.

Please confirm and I'll put you down for one each.
