Shot for the first time on a loaner Red this weekend, 3 weddings, thing worked flawless just like I hoped, I am at the point where I am cutting up and about to start grading, out of the camera the settings are dragon 2 gamma 4, I am messing a bit around with the raw settings but was wondering what most people start grading with (red log film ect)

I did read the article on the red site about gamma vs raw

I am signed up for reducation which I am sure will cover this

the camera was a red epic dragon, most shot in 4k

I am matching the footage to gh4 footage

oh yeah here is a screen shot, very slight adjustment in shadows and bump in mid is the only correction, lens is a milvus 35 I think

Usually you start with redlogfilm and dragoncolor2. Or if you want to start with a more normalized looking image use redgamma3 or 4 and Dragon color2

I highly suggest playing around with some of the tabs in the post effects section of redcine, particularly alchemy

that is what I was thinking but since I never have graded footage from a red before (and this being an older camera) wasn't sure if there was a better starting point, thanks!
