I shot and edited this for a project initiated by Ecuador's Ministry of Tourism. The brief was wide open. Come to Ecuador and make something. 18 artists were invited and I was lucky enough to be part of the group that travelled to the Galapagos Islands. Without an assistant I had to keep things light. I used a barebones setup, not much more than an Epic (dragon) and some Canon zooms (L series for stills) a cine saddle and a light tripod. I wouldn't have wanted any other setup (maybe a weapon...)hope you enjoy:www.vimeo.com/143790178p.s. this is my self-indulgent 2:15 'Director's cut' i'll post the 60 second version shortly, it has a professional sound design and was graded at a post house in Toronto called 'The Vanity'

Gnarly... How long were you shooting for (it looks like quite a while... either that or there are animals all over the place)?

Mike P. about two and a half days total.
