Hi Guys,

Just wanted to point out my experience I had using my Ronin-MX with smart battery to power the Raven. Since the Raven has no way of showing battery percentage or time remaining on battery status. I notice when my smart battery was down to the last battery indicator light which I assume was probably between 5-15% battery life the Raven perform a auto shutdown which was nice to see to avoid any damage to my footage and this happened during my production shoot.

I also forward my request to show battery status on the Raven UI for the DJI Smart battery so hopefully we will see it in future firmware.

What about running time with one battery?

I think that battery status on camera won't be possible since Ronin Power Distributor outputs about 12,7V all the time, no matter the battery level. But it has a little switch that enables a beep when the battery level goes below 10%, so you have time to turn off the RED. Also, keep in mind that these are LiPos not LiIon batteries: you shouldn't go below 30% battery level to keep your battery healthy. I used to drain batteries 2 years ago when I first got my Ronin and my LiPos became puffed and lost most of their power. So remember to never drop below 30% and store unused batteries at 50%.

With a DJI 4300mAh intelligent battery I can power the Raven for about one hour and the original Ronin + Raven for about 50 minutes if this could help.

I have a RONIN-M and I'm still deciding whether to buy the Power Distributor for the RAVEN or go with a REDVOLT XL (maybe it'll be too heavy) ... or go with some external V-Mount! Mmmmmm
