Future Scarlet 5K RC 2:1 for still photography?

Hi, will there be a future 5K RC 2:1 or 1:1 in still mode for Scarlet. At least 1 fps?
Could not find any answer about it in the forum.

We don't know what the stills-mode will bring, but it would be wise to not expect those kind of specs being upgraded. It has been said multiple times, compression-ratios and framerates are final as they are. The only thing that has been mentioned is a upgrade to the HDRx-code which will allow shooting 4k@24fps with HDRx enabled.

3:1 isn't good enough?

Hi Maik, where did you see 3:1 for Scarlet? Sure would be great! Don´t get me wrong, I guess I´m not asking too much, just would like to know about stills mode (Even the Epic which have 2:1 right now) with the lowest compression possible. At 1 fps.
I don´t understand why Scarlet should be fixed to 6:1 while shooting stills.

Scarlet isn't fixed to 6:1, in 5k resolution you can do 3:1@8fps and 5:1@12fps.

Plus at 3:1 the compression is virtually loseless and better then DSLR RAW compression...
