Fusing pick & pluck foam layers

So I got a Storm 2500 case (for airplane carry-on purposes) that I'm going to use for the RED camera, rods, base plate and a handle or two. The pick & pluck foam is great, and this little case holds everything like a champ.

Problem is, when I try to get the camera out, the three layers of foam separate and get pulled out of the case as well.

I way going to try and "fuse" the layers together by applying some heat -- maybe with a spare clothes iron that I don't mind ruining -- but I didn't know if anyone had any tips/warnings they could offer before I give it a shot.

I believe that Pelican says to just get spray adhesive to glue the layers together. They suggested a certain type of spray that you can get at craft stores, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.

3M has an adhesive spray that I use for fabric.

beware! there can be some concentrated aggresive gases from glue which can destroy equipment when case is closed. Think twise which one u use.

Here at work we use 3M Spray Tack Adhesive. No worries about harmful vapors. For the top layer (to keep the foam together) we use clear gesso (available at any art store).
