Wow, that first one was well done. Thanks for sharing.

You know, if they just put an "I'm sorry, we fucked up" public apology letter about FCPX on their home page, it would fix most of this almost instantly. This is a total PR #FAIL. My guess is the untitled movie got pulled from Vimeo because they didn't have rights to use the old Steve Jobs clip and/or the music. Too bad, because it was well done and definitely the best one to surface yet. Talk about hitting the nail on the head.

Hey Jeff, But they didn't. No apology. Just more marketing-speak. For my part, I have totally lost faith in them as a provider of Pro tools. I'll have to spend the next couple of years as time allows carefully migrating my library of FCP projects to something I do have faith in as an editing environment for the next 10 years. It aint Apple. I'm going to throw all-in with Adobe. Avid burned their bridges with me 9 years ago and I swore never again.

You know that old joke about the farmer and his wife in his horse drawn wagon? Apple, that was three.

I'm actually feeling pretty good about moving to Adobe for my personal projects. I was at the Red Giant Software release party for Magic Bullet 11 tonight, and everyone who has been using PPro for awhile seem pretty at ease. I was talking to Stu about performance issues with his plug-ins, and his comment was: "Oh you must be a FCP user..."

Happy to be in the adobe camp - they seem to just be getting better and better
