Red Test shoot in China/Full time DP needed
My two RED Cameras are arriving and another three are coming. Just coming back with Mark on China's first RED test shoot trip from Shanghai to Hangzhou. The picture quality is nice, only in proper hands.

I am Andrew Cheng, award-winning director/producer and have a 2000 square metre studio in M50 beside Shanghai's Suzhou Creek. We are currently promoting RED 4K Cameras in China and sincerely invite young experienced DPs or camera man who have passion in digital cinema and who have passion in China and willing to come to Shanghai, China for a based full time job either as a DP or as a production man. We have many features and documentary projects in preproduction stage. They all will be shot in RED 4K Cameras. We are offering a basic monthly salary which is enough to rent a 2 bedroon flat in Shanghai's middle class area and enough to lead a comfortable middle class life as well, plus monthly bonus for each project specifically involved.

I wish you the best in getting Red owner / operators to come to China, but you may want to offer a better deal.

Many of us are renting the camera for $1000+ a day ($3000+ / week), plus providing our services at $400+ a day here in the US. Some are booking more days than others, but even if we're only booking one week per month (5 days), we're still making around $5,000.

That's a comfortable middle class existence (in most states) here in the US. I can support 2 cars and a 4 bed, 3 bath, 3,000 square foot house on that.

For most people, you would have to offer substantially more to get them to leave behind their comfortable lives where they are currently living. But then again, there are others that may think the deal is sweet enough as it is.

I am providing RED cameras, I am seeking the kind of person who want to
play with me with the RED cameras. I don't need DPs who has their own Reds, simply because it is not practical to bring Cameras into China. The way here is different.

Chris Dole came to China with a Hi8, with a passion and of course there is a chance for him.

English is not necessary, passion to a new cultural is a definite, I am sure there is a chance later.
