Full Screen mode.... but with red record button.

I often use the Full Screen Mode (can't remember what it's official name is), when you can only see what the sensor sees, without all the histograms and clutter in the bottom and top.

But I would like to see the red record dot in that full screen mode, and maybe the framing grids. Is there a way to remove the bottom and top clutter, but still retain the red dot?

I seem to remember that some of the old firmware had three different modes to shift between, one of which retained some basic info on the screen. Now there are only two modes Everything and Nothing.

From the monitor control dialog:
Put the monitor in "Overlay" mode and then enable "Auto-Hide Menus". This will force the video to full screen but leave you with the normal overlays (frame guides, record indicator, filename, timecode, etc). Futhermore, if you want to remove things like filename and timecode you can chose a different overlay or create a custom one that just has the guides and record indicator.

Yes, tried Auto-Hide Menus, but how do I get the menus back, when I want to change settings again? I had to change from EVF to LCD to uncheck the "Auto-Hide Menus".

I´m using EVF primarily, so no touch.

If it is a touch screen tap the screen. If not, press the MENU button on either the REDMOTE or Side Handle (it's the unlabeled button to the top left of the directional keys).
