My Scarlet has worked on three spots for Mofilms contest. I'm happy to say our last one took first prize!

Hey Bob, first time hearing of MOFILMS, how does the production grants work? It says they are awarded after you submit your film...but if you've already done it whats the point of the grant? Just to recoup what you may have spent?

I don't know the details as Todd the director takes care of all that. I think typically you apply for grant money before the production. You produce enough good spots and its easier to get the grant money. Lets just say Todd is in their good books now.

I thought Fueled by Imagination looked the best... and I normally don't dig cool tones (and I saw the original thread for the whiskey one and thought it was tremendous... still do, just think Fueled had nicer location and lighting.)

Ive been on mofilm and heres how the grant works. You apply for the grant and tell them what all you are going to need and then they will award you an amount. That amount is the amount of money they will reimburse you, I think 60 days after you submit your film cant remember. But basically you pay now and they reimburse you later but only if you submit something. If you don't submit anything you wont get anything back.
