  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

For Sale: Zeiss Standard lenses 16 T 2.4, 24, 32, 50, 85 all T 2.2. This is a nice set of Arri Standard Mount lenses with PL adapter included. Each lens has an 80 mm. front custom made by Stuart at Focus Optics and a focus gear custom made and marked by Duclos Lenses. The larger diameter disk makes it easy to connect the follow focus gear and read/transfer the distance marks on the lens. The adapter is easy to use (it takes seconds) and quite bomb-proof. I have been reluctant to put PL mounts on them due to the expense and added weight. For their small size and weight these lenses pack powerful big screen performance. Custom case by A & J, in great condition. $6,000 Firm.

I'm confused about what these lenses are. What is the original mount? Were they made for film? Do you have anything shot on them that I can see?

They are the original zeiss standard speeds in arri standard mount...they used to come with the arri 2c camera. If you search sinister "club criminal". Or heather rigdon "table for two" on you tube that were shot on same series of lens
 
Thanks for chiming in Ryan. These lenses were designed for Arriflex 35 MM. cameras. The precisely machined adapter that comes with the set requires no screws and locks to the lens quickly and efficiently. The lenses are essentially the same optical design as the Zeiss Standard T2.1 PL mount series and have terrific sharpness and contrast. The housing is smaller, hence the added delrin focus gears and 80 MM step ups (handmade by the best lens repair technicians in the business). I've used these lenses for years on 35 mm second unit projects. A RED feature I shot with this set will screen in the Spotilight section of Sundance 2011. They are a great set for the serious Indie filmmaker looking for a set of cine primes but not able to afford a new set of RPP's.

this is really a to notch set too he is selling them at a real bargain...if I had the money I would probably get them due to missing mine so much.
