[FS: OPTICS] FS: Zeiss Distagon 16mm f/2.0 T2.2 PL mount lens (rehoused Samcine)

[Stephen_G]

Like the Title States

This is carl zeiss 16mm Distagon f/2.0 T2.2 lens which has been fully rehoused by Samcine london and put into PL mount

the lens works great, the glass is clean and clear, theres no scratches, haze or funk, the focus works smoothly.

the iris is a touch stiff and not de-clicked, and it binds a little at the T16-22 end.

$2500

Cool lens, how much did rehouse cost ?

[Adam Johnson]

Do you have a URL for Samcine for rehousing lenses?

[Nick Morrison]

This lens is kind of amazing. Great price, too.

hi guys

I bought this lens off a forum member

This lens was probably rehoused in the 1980s maybe even late 70s. Samcine london is no longer in business, I think they were bought out by panavision maybe?

just a note on the price, a standard arriflex 16mm f/2.0 distagon is usually $2000 all by itself, so $2500 for a rehoused version is a steal of a deal.

I had it as a wide with some other lenses, which I sold, and now I have this lonely guy, so here it is, will be a great match for standard speed lenses or super speeds. T* coated.

bump for this awesome wide zeiss.... $2500 is firm on the price

This lens looks great on the Scarlet/Epic! I'm the previous owner of this particular lens. I can vouch for the awesomeness of this glass and the re-housing done by Samcine. If I remember correctly, the clicks in the iris ring are very soft. Thus, making it easy to use in between stops, like a 2.8/4 split for example. This a great lens at a great price. Somebody should snatch this sucker up! Good luck with the sale Stephen.

hi clint, who knows I might keep it but its not necessary for me right now.

its a great lens for the price, u cant beat it.. PL mount for $2500 ?

How is this still for sale? Its basically the same optics as a 16mm T2 Standard Prime, but for 4k less!!! I already own this lens, otherwise I'd throw my hat in the ring!!

Is this lens still for sale?
