FS Zeiss Contax C/Y Lenses 25, 50,300

I'm selling several of my Zeiss Contax Yashica lenses:

These all cover full frame and are the precursors to the Zeiss ZF series (and now the compact primes). Besides the legendary Zeiss optics, T* coatings, and microcontrast - they feature very long and very smooth focus throws which makes them very suitable for cinema use.

You can use them on Canon cameras or RED on Canon EF smart or dumb mounts with a $20 adapter. I am also looking at making a dumb mount nearly identical to the RED Nikon mount but with a C/Y bayonet on it - either custom or semi-production. (C/Y is very similar to nikon and only 1 mm shorter Flange focal length.) Will need to pass it through RED but shouldn't cause any problems since it would attach to the adjuster just like the Nikon mount.

I'm selling these because I have duplicates after I bought a Contax 139 camera package with several lenses that I already had.

I can sell you an adapter or just get one on ebay there are lots. If using on canon you may want an AF confirm version which has a little chip that allows the cameras autofocus system to tell you when you are in focus.

Yes, he got an extremely good deal on the 2x!

In fact the 300 went pretty cheap too - I expected over $500, maybe $600 but of course everything is a bit depressed right now. The 300 may have gone to someone who saw it here - it is being shipped to one of the major hollywood rental houses whose name pops up here on REDUSER from time to time.

Generally, yes since they have the famous zeiss t* coatings and quality control.

And since you bumped the thread, I have another 50mm 1.4 and 300 f/4 plus a 35mm 2.8 and 85mm 1.4 all in exc. Condition except the 85mm has a fine coating scratch (which doesn't seem to show up much but is clearly visible when you look at it.) I did a long term on my red1 waiting for epic so don't use them much and since I have gotten friendly with my neighbor Gregory Mirand of LumaTech that has a full set that I can borrow anytime - I've decided to sell them.
