This is the CF (close focus) version of the CP.2 100. Which is basically a macro lens.
If you want to fill the entire screen with your thumb print - this is the lens for you.
The lens is only 7 months old. I love it and I am only selling it because I replaced it with
a bunch of other 40k lenses. Yeah. Gear Hog. Anybody knows a good therapist ?
Anyways: The lens is in absolutely mint condition. This was my own personal gear, never rented
out and abused in any kind of way. Should be under the original Zeiss 2 year warranty until Dec.
2014.
This lens can easily be converted into Canon EF mount. They are interchangeable.
What you are getting is basically a new lens under warranty with a discount.
Price: $4100 firm. This includes shipping in the US.
Here are some images of the actual lens:

The Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 100mm/T2.1 CF Cine Lens (PL Mount) is part of the second generation of CP cinema lenses that were the first to offer full-frame 35mm coverage of large sensor DSLRs (such as the Canon 5D Mark II). What distinguishes the CP.2 from its PL-mount-only predecessor is its interchangeable lens mount, which allows the included cinema-standard PL mount to be easily swapped out for an optional Canon EF or Nikon F mount. For the first time, a single, affordable, professional quality lens can be used on both cinema and still cameras, opening up creative possibilities that keep your rig lightweight, versatile, and on budget. Based on the Planar design, this fast telephoto extends the reach of your camera while also allowing for close focus up to 2.5 ft (0.7m).Interchangeable MountThe Compact Prime CP.2 lenses are the world's first cine lenses designed for use with DSLR cameras. The interchangeable mount guarantees high flexibility for present and future use in any situation and for a wide range of camera platforms.
- Allows a mix of DSLR systems with traditional cine cameras, for maximum flexibility on set
- No need for adapter solutions anymore
- Three different mounts available (PL, EF and F mount)
- Full-frame coverage (24 x 36 mm) for focal lengths 21 to 100 mm
- Common aperture of T2.1 for the standard lens set
- Sweet spot effect with APS-C sensors
- High resolution and contrast
- Low distortion
- Color matched
