Hey guys! I've finally decided to sell off my Red One MX package. I'm selling because I'm in a spring-cleaning mood and want to unload gear I no longer use on a regular basis. I hope this finds a great home because it's served me so well! I'm looking at selling the FULL PACKAGE and will not be breaking up anything at the moment.
PRICE: $9,500
LOCATION OF SALE: LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (I will ship anywhere a the expense of the buyer)
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
• Red One MX Body - PL MOUNT - NO SSD (CF CARDS YES) (3053 HOURS) - Serial Number 363
• Red EVF
• Red 5.6" LCD
• (2) 320GB RED-DRIVES
• (3) RED-BRICK BATTERIES + (1) BEBOB CHARGER
• AC Power Adapter Updated for MX Chip
• BEBOB ROUGE HOT-SWAP ADAPTER + UNIVERSAL MOUNT for 19mm Rods
• Element Technica Breakout Box (attached)
• Element Techinca DRIVE adapter (shock mount + 19mm V-clip)
• Element Technica EVF Mount
• Element Techinca 19mm Bridge Plate
• (2) Red 19mm top Mounts
• Red Top Handle w/o extension
• (3) EVF/LCD 2-FOOT Lemo Cables
• (1) RED DRIVE 2-FOOT Lemo Cable (fairly unused)
• (1) RED DRIVE AC Power Cable
• (1) Full Size to Mini AUDIO XLR Cable
• (1) TIMECODE Jam SYNC Cable
• (2) 12" 19mm ET Lightweight Rods
• (2) 18" 19mm ET Lightweight Rods
• 9" Noga Arm + Bogen Nano-Clamp
• KATA BANANA BAG (everything fits!)
This package has been used on features, commercials, shorts, industrials 80% of the time operated by myself. I've rented it out to reputable places along the way and am always diligent about keeping it maintained and working correctly. That being said, there are a few quirks that should be mentioned about my package;
• Sometimes the LCD Lemo cable needs to be disconnected and reconnected to the physical screen. Occasionally upon boot up, the LCD screen will display randomness for no apparent reason. This doesn't happen with the EVF, only the LCD. A disconnect/reconnect usually always solves the problem. Sometimes it needs a reboot and a kiss on the top. This doesn't happen everytime but it has happened in the past 1 out of 5 times on cold start ups.
•*One of the HD-SDI ports on the ET BOB needs service. Last time I did it, cost around $30. The other ports work fine. The one in question just gives a faulty broken feed to the monitor which may or may not be an issue for some.
•*One of the two charging channels on the Bebob Charger is starting to show wear. It sometimes will not charge a battery unless you press the battery down on the contacts with some force. This has happened before on an earlier unit that I've owned and BEBOB is an excellent company that will 99% certain replace the charger or repair it for free. It works, just needs to be watched.
• RED Batteries are a little over 2 years old but still function just fine. They will eventually need replacement.
• There are a couple of light scratches on the LCD screen and a few bruise marks. Doesn't prevent usage, just not cosmetically in the best of shape.
• One of the WINGNUTS on the Bebob Hot-Swap's mounted universal plate no longer exists. I've had ZERO issues tightening the Hot-Swap to a set of rods using just ONE wingnut however.
• Red One Body Fan will eventually need replacing. ($30+ cost)
Last time I used this camera was on a shoot a month ago and it worked wonderfully. I would keep it around forever but it's time to move on to a simpler kind of life.
Local LA sale preferred but I'll ship anywhere.
