  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey Guys,

I'm just testing the waters here and CONSIDERING selling my RED ONE (Serial number 99x - delivered Oct. 2007). This camera is currently up for the stage 2 Epic program (which will be ending this Saturday), and M-X sensor upgrade.

Package Includes:

Red One Body, PL Mount, CF Mod (all upgraded)
Birger Mount (Red Approved)
Nikon Mount
Element Tech Base Plate ("19) + Dove Plate
6x 8g CF Cards
5.6 LCD
Plus all the usual "19 rods, mounts, and awkward mini cables.

Jim once said that he believed cameras #100 or below were worth $40k. Was he right? Is there someone out there who wants to jump in to the sub 100 club and the front of the Epic line?

To clarify, are you selling both the RED-MX and the EPIC Stage 2 rights or just the EPIC-MX?

Michael, I'm willing to listen to all offers, but yes, the high bidder would receive the Red One #99 and all upgrade rights.

i'm in a few last minute negotiations and am very serious to get in the red world. please let me know a rough idea of what options you would be willing to start with me and are of pricing. i will be online almost constantly over the next few days to find the best buy and ready to move forward.

Wow, it would seem that you bare a fair chance of being part of the tattoo program. Why give that up? I'd imagine if you hustled you could keep your number 99, rent the Tattoo for $1000/day for 40 days and then buy the Corvette or whatever it is you want, but still have your cool early cameras.

yeah. I don't think low serial is one of the qualifications for the Tattoo program. About a year ago Red allowed people to sign up for a firmware Beta testing program. I imagine Red would choose those who were the most helpful from that program along with some Hollywood "A-Listers."

gee... someone beat me to the "great one" reference. as an oiler fan i feel sad and ashamed. If i had the dough i would buy it in a heart beat though.

EDIT: no that i didn't already feel sad and ashamed after this season.
