Original Texas owner. Purchased 07/08. This package is my personal camera and very lightly used. It’s flawlessly maintained and in top-notch cosmetic and working condition. My goal was to make a lightweight handheld rig. And I did.
You're not likely to find another used package in better condition. The only issue I ever had involved my 2nd HDD. It became corrupt (6 mths old) and Red offered to repair it for $700. I declined repairs. I’ll include the dead drive for free. It makes a great paperweight.
I’m embarrassed to admit how little I use this package. I’m only selling because I don’t use it enough to justify keeping it. I have no current plans to upgrade to Scarlet or Epic.
EPIC UPGRADE NOTE: As I understand it, the expiration date for being eligible for the Epic Upgrade Program using "preowned" Reds was October 29, 2009. However through the original owner (me), this camera is eligible for the Epic Upgrade Program (Body = $17,500 value). So if using this body for the upgrade is a deal-breaker, I would consider helping procure a future Epic upgrade – acting as original owner. Of course the camera's title would have to remain in my name until after the upgrade was made.
Please PM me if you're interested in purchasing this Red package. Original investment was $40k+. I am well aware the equipment has depreciated in value. I can supply additional info or photos to serious buyers. I am not selling individual accessories at this time.
