I'm looking to move into a Komodo-X underwater package and unfortunately would have to sell my existing package to finance it. Looking for fair offers over the next month or so. The housing is designed primarily for in-water ocean cinematography and weighted for surface work but also handles dive work up to 50 feet or so. I've personally worked with it on in-shore ocean jobs to ~ 40-50 feet but have not tested beyond that. The majority of the client work is in pools and near surface work (fashion, spearfishing, surfing (in wave), sport fishing, jet ski perspective for big wave surfing, etc).
I'm making this post without all of the details (hours, additional accessories, and photos, sample underwater footage) but will update it or respond with any specific questions. I'm using data from eBay to establish some market pricing in regards to "fair offers". The water housing package originally cost approximately $6,500 USD brand new with all the ports, for perspective. The company is based in Australia and they can make you an additional port that has zoom/iris/focus controls placed exactly for your lens(es).
I could consider parting it all out separately but am seeing if anyone can make use of the whole package first.

- Red Epic-W Helium DSMC2 CF 8K 60fps - 1600 hours - ebay estimated value ~ $3000-$3500
- 4.7" Red Touch LCD Monitor ~ $450-$600
- Canon EF mount ~ $250
- 1Tb Redmag Card ~ $750
- SDI Jetpack Expansion ~ $350
- Battery Belt Clip ~ $250
- Sidekick control panel ~$500
- Wooden camera V-lock adapter (allows for v-lock batteries to sit down further to fit water housing) ~ $450-$500
- Can include drop in OLPFs (Low Light, Full Spectrum, Infrared)
- Total camera package w/o underwater housing approx $4500-$5500
- Salty Waterhousings Red Epic-W Custom Aluminum Painted Housing - new package was approx $6,500 USD, used approx $2500?
- Sidekick control panels (swappable to blank plate)
- Ports included (you can have more made for your specific lenses)
- Dome port
- Flat port which fits multiple lenses (I use the Tokina 11-16mm cine lens in it for a lot of work, also fits Sigma ART EF 50mm 1.4 and likely others)
- The aperture, zoom, and focus dials are designed for the Tokina but for prime lenses that whose aperture are electronically controlled you only need the focus to line up)
- Zoom port for Canon 70-200mm EF f/4 (I rarely used this lens because of the lack of stabilization but purchased it for jet ski work in big wave situations, it would also work well in wet environments where you need zoom but will be splashed heavily or rained on.)
- The housing has threaded mounts to adapt any stabilization you may require for a waterproof gimbal setup
- Best guess at a fair offer for entire package (camera + housing/ports) would be approx $7000-$9000 USD. I could consider discussing a 1-2 week testing period with an appropriate escrow agreement. I'm based in central NJ (Jersey Shore) and could meet serious prospective parties within a 1-2 hour drive.
