Well, I think it is far more likely that an AC put vecro on the back of the monitor and it took the sticker with it, than somebody is dumb enough to sell a hot monitor on reduser.

Nice of you to basically call the guy a thief though ;-)

NO Serial #

NO Serial #

Seriously, I just looked at mine, and there is nothing there either. The best way would be to get it engraved...I guess RED was too cheap to do that !

just checked my lcd and I also have the empty serial number space. It must have fallen off, probably when my lcd cable cap nut came off.

My LCD never had a serial number sticker. Didn't know that any of them did... Must be something they finally got around to after 3000 cameras or so, I wouldn't know.

How do you guys insure the LCDs if you can't identify them?

Put it on your equipment list/schedule and take a picture for reference. Just like a multitude of other accessories that don't have identifiable serial numbers or markings. ET top mounts, cheese plate and Hybrid base add up to more than the LCD. They don't have serial numbers or specific markings.

One can always etch their own markings into these items. Laser engraving is a wonderful thing.

Thanks everyone, bit of an unecessary hi-jack of this thread!

I can assure everyone none of my gear is stolen, and none of my 5.6" lcd's have ever had serial numbers on them.
