Tested this lens on a 7D and works flawlessly. I got this lens initially to use with my Birger Mount but it doesn't.

Info I got from, fredmiranda.com
Description:
Highly portable lens with high optical performance and light weight of 12 oz. (340 g). A very practical ultra-wide-angle zoom. The large front lens group minimizes peripheral darkening, and the flare-blocking diaphragm minimizes flare. Also, with lens group 2 being the zoom group, distortion is corrected.
It's much more solid than lenses of late. Feels much more "metal" - hard, smooth, and compact. The zoom ring turns smoothly and easily. Here is a quote to give you more of an idea: "This canon 20-35 2.8L lens is really the "lux" of canon lens. Some people complain about the speed of a non-usm lens and in my humble opinion ( Brussels National Geographic partner for 18 years ) I must say there is no difference at all. One is constantly on my canon 40D and another one on my canon 5D. The 2.8 gives me the most perfect bokeh. Highly recommended... "

This is preferred on new Canon DSLR's many times because of the weight.

I had one till recently and wish I never sold it ! Great lens.

Is this lens still for sale? Would the AF work with a Canon 50D?

I just took it to my local Camera shop and they tested it on a 7D and it worked great.

It is listed on Ebay, 300398732557

If the link doesn't work just copy and paste.

I would give priority to anyone on Reduser who wants to pay me what I paid for it a month ago. $587 CAD (doesn't include shipping)

I know good ones are hard to find, the one I found came from the UK.

It's soooooooooooooollllllllllllllllddddddddddddddddddd
buyah! :)
