R1 #1294, only one thousand two hundred eighty six numbers away from the legendary #8 but I guess not quite as much of a true piece of history! Yet still a fantastic piece of kit that makes awesome moving pictures… and the real reason you should want one. It is an M sensor and available for upgrade to M-X. Currently it has 510 hours on it. The camera is in excellent condition (see the pics). It is PL mount and comes with the CF module. The Red Power supply is also included.
$15K for the above.

I can also include the following items:

5" Red monitor with Red arm and cable, $900 ($1800 new from Red)
Element Technica Topside combo (15mm), $500 ($710 new from ET)
ET video breakout box, $350... one of the BNC's is damaged ($580 new from ET)
ET Arri bridgeplate (15mm), $500 ($600 new from Red)

These items add $2250 to the sale price. Buyer of the camera has first option to these accessories.
I'll throw in an 8GB Red CF card to go with the CF module already on the camera.
I use Anton Bauer batteries and will keep those as I use them with other systems. I don't have a battery plate for the camera available (but that is easy to get from Red…or Ketch).
Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.
This will be a lease deal with the now famous $1 buyout.

Sale fell through. This great camera is still available and will be ready to be in your hands on May 11. As well as the accessories listed in the original post, two 320GB Red drives are available with Element Technica V-dock system and speedy clamp. This allows you a great amount of record time.

This camera is still available at the great price of $15K, or $19K for the package.
Also available is a Fujinon 13X4.5 HD broadcast zoom lens (B4 mount) for $14K, a 1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible with original Kelsey Hayes wire-wheels for $15K (car needs some restoration) and a 1959 Gibson ES-125 3/4 sunburst guitar with original P90 pick up for $1K. So many buying opportunities!

Must be trying to make way for Epic!

I’d snatch that Gibson up in a hurry if I didn’t just get a R1 myself...and for much higher than he is selling his!

FYI, I haven't checked with Red but I think the M-X upgrade is in the $5K range. To buy a new Red camera today it only comes with the M-X sensor and costs $25K. That's body only, no accessories. This camera for sale comes as a package ready for production @ $19K. By spending $5K more to upgrade to M-X you still haven't spent as much as buying the new camera... and that's without accessories and it's not ready for production. The accessories with this camera are Element Technica, the best Red camera accessories on the market... better than what Red itself makes.
BTW, I just finished a feature with this camera 2 weeks ago. The original M sensor makes great images, even in low light. Check out some screengrabs from it here:
