Hi

I am considering selling the pro batt module for the X with the module adapter.

Here's the thing. I will sell it to fund other stuff and I don't particularily distaste/hate the module, there's just other stuff I want more...
If it doesn't rise enough cash for me to buy something else, I'll just keep it.

It can be sent directly from RED as of anytime soon.

PM me or mail me offers at:

if interested

Cheers

Enven you?... ;-)

Is this module really so useless? Don't you see any advantage? I don't use one and have never seen one. So I ask.

Pat

Not useless. Just less worthwhile if you have a battery solution you've already spent thousands on. Or frustrating if you dislike changing batteries every half hour instead of every 2 hours. Or frustrating if you need accessory power.

I don't think it is useless, there is just other stuff that I need that is more usefull...

And as I said, I'll take it if noone else takes it and I can use it if that's the way.

FWIW, I bought one and I really do like it for use on a tripod. I am looking forward to the release of the REDVolt XLs and the Quad Charger to make it really work well. I have also purchased an AB Battery plate from Wooden Camera but plan to use that primarily on a shoulder rig. Just my thoughts.

No offers at all? Surprising. But for the fact that I've got one on order I might have been tempted to offer... but that said I do like factory warranties.

As a long-term strategy for my use it seems like a good piece of gear. For shoulder and tripod mounting you get 2hrs minimum shooting time in a sensible form factor.

We were unfortunate and had a lot of gear stolen, so took the plunge and re-equipped on Redvolts. Looking to the future with Redmote Pro and Canon glass, wireless video becomes the only thing I need additional power for. ( Currently I use a hacked Asus Wicast with a lipo cell on its back that runs it all day, approx the size of a Redmote) I am a little surprised that there's no DC out on the module in any form, but I bet thats not insurmountable, especially if you're buying a second-user non-warranty item anyway.

Ouch to the gear.

I have no problem seeing how this could be a nice piece of kit to have. My case is more like there is other stuff I need first, second and third before this is a priority... :)

PM sent.
