Will the AC work on the Epic?

Will this top handle extension work as just a low-profile handle for the scarlet? I have a mini cheese plate from Wooden Camera, and ideally I'm trying to build a rig with the 5" touch LCD mounted on top with the handle behind it. Most of the handles I've looked at seem to be very tall though, almost to the point of getting in the way of the LCD. I've looked at the Wooden Camera top handles, Element Technica, etc... and all just too tall for what I'm trying to build. Will this handle extension work?
