I recently traded in my Epic for a Woven (carbon fiber) Weapon and purchased a bunch of add-ons for it. It has barely been used and is in 100% perfect condition and still under almost a year warranty. I'm now thinking that a new Scarlet or Raven would better fit my needs and so I'm looking to sell this amazing camera package.

It includes:

BRAND NEW RED Woven Carbon Fiber WEAPON with custom Pelican Case!
This camera is brand new and I also already paid for the 8K vistavision sensor upgrade, so this camera is at the top of the sensor upgrade list.

2 new ultrafast 512GB mini-SSD cards
1 mini-SSD reader
1 new, large RED LCD Screen. It attaches to the camera with no wires and it looks much better than any previous screens.
1 New RED lightweight aluminum PL-mount, just calibrated by RED
1 EF-mount
1 Titanium PL-mount Motion Mount with rolling shutter correction and built-in Variable ND
1 RedRocket-x card in a beefy Sonnet Thunderbolt2 Enclosure
4 New Red batteries and a new quad-battery charger in custom Pelican Case
1 AC/DC adapter
Red Carbon Fiber Matte Box with custom Pelican Case

I am looking for fair offers for someone who is looking to buy a RED Weapon and who would like to save some money and jump the line for the new vistavision 8k sensor.

I'm looking to re-coupe my upgrade to the 8K VistaVision chip. I'm very high on the wait-list because I paid within the first hour they announced the upgrade.
That cost + the full woven weapon package with all of the accessories at 15% off + no tax comes out to about $60,000. So I would like to start bidding at this price. I will cover any costs associated with transferring ownership, warranty and waiting-list for upgrade etc.

Accessories:
New XL Battery mount and 4 new batteries + 1 new Dual battery charger.
Titanium PL-mount with Variable ND and Global Shutter
Ef Mount
New Large 7" Screen with higher resolution and direct attachment/no cords.
2 x 512GB mini-SSDs and reader/writer
Wooden Camera Dovetail with 15mm and 19mm carbon fiber Rods.

I would like to add that I am negotiable depending on what accessories the buyer would like to purchase. Also, this is an almost new and perfect condition Carbon Fiber Weapon and I have already paid for the 8K VistaVision sensor.

Parting accessories out?

Actually I checked and it is possible to hold our place at the top of the line for the VV 8K upgrade.

Thanks for the thoughts though.

I understand why you think that though - it is tricky, but i just talked to RED and it is possible.

Simply put, this camera is a good deal, but if you are eager to get the large Vistavision 8K Chip than this deal is amazing!

I have several interested people, so if anyone else is interested they should let me know soon.

Best,

Wynn

Apologies, not trying to quash a sale. There was another sale post a while back where they said it couldn't be transferred.

That was probably from me, after checking with Brent and being told I could not transfer the 8k place in line with the sale of my CF WEAPON.

Another REDuser PMd me and told me he had been told that from his past experience they were worried about getting things too complicated, but that there was a way it could be done... just not a straight forward exchange of ownership of the paid-for 8k sensor upgrade.

Maybe things have changed since then... like the release of a new sensor. '-)

Ok everyone. The offers I've been getting for this camera package have been blowing me away. It is basically because I researched the exact spot on the list for the new sensor and since it is so high on the waitlist I think I am going to repost this camera to maybe clarify that point. Simply put, I was hoping to get $60-$65K for the package, but as of now I have an order for $80K, which seems high, but if you consider getting to be one of the first people to get the new 8k VistaVision/Full Frame chip with better technology - maybe that is actually cheap... only time will tell, but $80K for this package isn't more than you would spend on a new camera, so why not put yourself ahead of the competition on the new chip?

Anyway, if anyone is interested int he $70-$90K price range for this package let me know, because I'm planning to sell to the first buyer who can pony up the money in the next couple weeks here.

Thx!
Wynn

The camera is still for sale. I have lots of various offers with various combinations. I'd say that if you are interested make me an offer and include what accessories you need and I'll keep you posted!

Thanks!

Not to belabor the point, but I think this camera with just the base 6K Body, pre-paid 8K VistaVision chip that will upgraded in the first batch of chips ( #25 on the list, obviously this will be behind the Studio beta-test "Gardians of the Galaxy2" cameras etc...) This alone I think is worth about $60K and I will take offers just on the body + mini-SSD reader etc,

Then there are those people that would like all of the camera + the roughly $30K in accessories I dropped into the camera. For all of this I'd like to get close to $80K.

I'm fine with either option and I think that both are fair. I think this seems fair. In fact, these price points are cheaper than a new camera would cost and obviously the wait-list at this point would be very very long for the huge VistaVision sized sensor which could be extremely profitable to someone with the right connections to make use of having this sensor so far ahead of others. For these reasons l'd like to take reasonable offers that take into account either the accessories ($80K) or non accessories ($60k). I will be using the funds I get to buy a new Scarlet that better fits my clientele, so I have no reason to let all the accessories to go for rock bottom prices, just so that I have to turn around and buy them again...

Thanks!

The easiest and probably cleanest way to handle this sale Wynn would be to WAIT until your camera is upgraded and then list it for sale. If you are that early in the line, then there will STILL be a great demand for a VV-upgraded camera. I will probably be doing that same thing once my Forged is upgraded, though I may end up keeping both for the different properties they afford.

Just my $.02
