Hi Andrae,

Looks like a nice monitor, any particular reason for selling?

Andrae is a quality seller Robert and typically he buys and sells gear for specific clients/jobs and then sells them. I can say I have bought from him and his gear is always PRISTINE. He is an excellent communicator and a super smart guy.

Thanks Tim!

I'm taking the monitor off the market. Just found out from Walter Biscardi that FSI will be releasing the LM-2461W with builtin 3Gbs HDSDI and DCI-P3 for $4995. Will just get a store credit for the new model.

Andrea, that sounds great. think i might grab myself one of them.

cheers

IMHO, panasonic is a great field monitor, and a great studio reference monitor. but for critical grading I'd got flanders all the way. 10 bit, more built in tools, auto calibrating, can monitor dual link, or coming soon 3g. just it's better and more up to date. Panny panels have been needing a good reboot for some years now.

Cool. I'll go with the Flanders LM-2461W and that's all I need.

And a SSD Module with mags.

And that's ALL I need.

And this Bomb EVF.

Just the Flanders monitor, the SSD Module and this Bomb EVF and that's all I need...

and a Panchro 18mm and THAT's ALL!!!

For the price... the FSI monitors kill most of the competition. No doubt that unless you have 26k for a monitor the FSI monitors are the best option. I was going to check out a THX projector but the new LM-2461W supporting DCI-P3 and having 3Gb/sec HDSDI killed that idea. The customer support is out of this world too. Initially when I ordered my LM-2460W I thought it would come with dual HDSDI and found out that it only supported an optional 3Gb/sec. Thankfully they dissuaded me from spending an extra 2K on that option... Now I know why.

Hi,
The Cine-tal range of monitors have been bought over by IKAN and I think there will be considerable fall in their prices also.

if you are willing to spend 20+k, don't discount the new sony OLED coming out too. those should be interesting, and something to keep a close eye on.

for the money, you're right Andrae, the Flanders is king. I'd rather spend the 20k or so on a top end flanders, a big ass panny plasma, and hdlink pro and hire someone to match the monitors via lut, and take the rest of the money to spruce up the suite for clients.

grading for filmouts though, there is nothing quite like actually having your own projector. But I find that even with my HP dreamcolor, I've graded for the big screen and found it to be almost 100% accurate to my grade. I'd still love to get the FSI for the built in hardware scopes, and just the overall professional finish of it. Good to know a new model is coming out, it's on the list of my next things to buy.

after a cubix expansion and 2 more gpu's :)
