We are aware of the value of our Epic Stage 2 Option and feel a little frustrated not being able to take full advantage of this opportunity (wrong timing).

If you are willing to, but do not have an eligible early Red One, maybe we can help each other out. Thinking of what would be a fair deal, the following came to our minds:

You get:
- Early delivery of Epic (Our Red One s/n 1092 was delivered early April 2008)
- To keep Red's free accessories (worth quite a bit of money)
- Our support and flexibility in any warranty related issues during the first year (if needed)

We get:
- The Stage 2 discount in cash (upfront)
- The MX discount (to be used on our Red One)

If any of this sounds appealing, please email me:
daniel@cinedigitalcanarias.com

That's right. Buyer pays $28,000 total. [$19,500 (Red) + $8,500 (Us)]
After which we can upgrade to MX for only $4,500.
Correct me if I'm wrong: I see nothing, but happiness on all parties involved.

I bought a Panasonic HVX200 from Daniel a few years back and had an absolutely wonderful experience in that regard. In fact - he was so pleasant to do business with that I've kept in touch with him since :-)

Yes Michael, I believe it is a great deal. For me the key points are coolness, clarity and simplicity.

This is how I picture things:

1) Have a little talk with the buyer, find someone we know in common such as a client, Reduser, someone at Red, who knows... if not I can prepare a list of references to minimize the sense of insecurity. We can go through all steps of the deal and make sure everything is clear.

2) A non-refundable $1.000 Paypal deposit will be requested and once it has been paid, I will let other potential buyers know that there is a deal pending.

3) If we can meet up, great! Come and enjoy a business holiday in the Canary Islands and we do things together, otherwise it is time for me to fill out the online forms and let Red know about our willingness to step into Stage 2.

4) For what I have read, they will email a confirmation of this and it will be forwarded to the buyer.

5) The remaining $7.500 will have to be in our Spanish bank account by May 7th.

6) The buyer will have to have paid a $5.000 deposit to Red by June 1st.

7) When the order is ready, Red will request the payment of the remaining $14.500, which will have to be paid by the buyer within 30 days. Again directly into their account.

8) The Epic-X package will be delivered to the buyer's desired delivery address, after which a transfer of ownership would be most appropriate. Shipping, ownership transfers and any other charges to this transaction not mentioned above are to be covered by the buyer. As planned by Red (so far): Your Stage 2 EPIC-X package will include an EPIC-X S35 MYSTERIUM-X brain with a PL mount, a 5" touchscreen LCD, a REDMOTE, a SIDE CF MODULE, a MODULE ADAPTOR, a BASE I/O MODULE, a PRO BATTERY MODULE, two REDVOLT batteries, and a travel charger.

The bottom line is: Any monies sent to us are non-refundable, Red's deposit I believe is fully refundable. If anyone wants to jump straight at step 1, my cel number is +34 637 962 685. Otherwise my email is daniel@cinedigitalcanarias.com, our web: www.cinedigitalcanarias.com

Let me know if I am missing out anything important. Thanks!

Seems like we will have another Epic-X on the planet.

Thank you all for the interest and thank you Red for being so fair and transparent with your policies. I have had many fun adventures with the Red One, and still after two years it feels that it has not lost a single penny of its original value.

For the underwater work, the picture quality is already way beyond anything I ever dreamed of. It may be a little large and heavy, but it keeps our shots steady and the assistants in shape. I'm very happy with our Red One.

In Sweden, advertising children toys on TV is forbidden. Publishing such things on Reduser is not fair. Once you've seen it, you need it. Oh no! I had felt so fulfilled with the original sensor... I guess now we really have something to look forward to.

Curran, if we ever cross paths one day, we light up some cigars and shoot it on MX!
