Up for sale is a rare Contax Zeiss Prime Set of Planar and Distagon C/Y Mount lenses.

These Contax Zeiss lenses were purchased for use with a Letus Ultimate 35mm adapter but were never used for the shoot.
These lenses took a few years for me to put together. Everything except the 50mm are rare lenses made in West Germany, the 50mm lenses were only made in Japan.
The lenses made in West Germany are rare and the best of the crop and these lenses are no exception. They are in excellent MINT NR condition.

Contax Carl Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 Distagon T* AE MINT NR!(6311325) (Made in West Germany)

Contax Carl Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon T* AE MINT NR! (6459272) (Made in West Germany)

Contax Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 Planar T* MM C/Y MINT NR! (7254947) (Made in Japan)

Contax Carl Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 Planar T* MM C/Y lens MINT NR!(6707641) (Made in West Germany)

Each lens is fitted with Zacuto Zip Gears to use when pulling focus.

PM me and I'll e-mail pics for those who are seriously interested and will post pics on this post in the next few days. I'd like to sell them as a set first before I break them up.

$2600 including paypal, shipping and insurance

Thanks for looking!

Gary

I don't know that "rare" would be the proper term I would use, as all C/Y lenses sans the 50mm were produced in germany before production in japan.

Sorry, my meaning with "rare" is that these contax zeiss lenses are hard to find in a complete set like this in MINT NR condition, especially in the U.S.

I'm on deadline on a project and will post pics tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, got the pms to me and will respond in the order that I have received them. Thanks guys.

Hi Martin,

Which adapter do you use? I've used several with varying degrees of success. The best and smoothest one i've used so far is a Made in China aluminium one with the AF confirmation chip.

THe Fotodiox ones and other Mde in China ones don't really work so well for me.

I have used several different ones, but If I remember right the AF confirm chiped ones from Hong Kong have been working well for me.
They also work great on my Canon DSLR doing time-lapse work.

It was sold pretty fast locally! Didn't even have time to post pics, thanks for the perspective offers!!
