I have for sale 2 rare old Carl Zeiss Cinema lenses that were used before Zeiss Standard Primes T2 - they are probably older cousins of the Standard Primes. It is Carl Zeiss Sonnar 85mm f2 with serial No.3199927 and Carl Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f2 with serial No.3765768. They are aprox from the early 60's and most likely cover Academy 35 (ie 4K MX, 4.5K Dragon), though being these are longer lenes (50mm and 85mm), they could even cover full Dragon 6K (most teles do). They should render vintage image signature that old Zeiss cinema lenses are loved for - receantly Zeiss Standards were used (last year) on AMERICAN HUSTLE and also CAPTAIN PHILLIPS movies. Both lenses have stepless aperture with dots markings instead of f/number and have threads at back instead of bayonet. Both are *T, probably with single leyer coating that many cinema operators and photographers love - but coatings on both lenses are in very good shape. Lenses look really great with clear glasses, free of scratches, no fungus, haze or separation. I see only a few tiny particles of dust in 85/2 which will not have influcance on the image, probably can also be removed because the rear element can be screw out - there is a small mounting ring there. These cinema lenses can be also adapted for digital FF camera. Price for both $2K.
