There's a tilt/shift mount?!! My background is architectural stills, so this is tremendous news for me. Had considered a Birger mount to use my Canon TS-E glass with. I assume there is a conversion factor for the mount? 1.5x maybe?

Very interesting,
CB

The conversion factor kind of depends on where your frame of reference is. If you've wpent your life shooting 35mm motion, there's no conversion factor. If FF 35mm stills are your reference, the factor is 1.5 or a little less for 4.5K.

there's another version of this idea for sale here: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=47123

I always liked the Clairmont design a little better than Arri, because it moved more like a view camera. It has a rising front as well as tilt and shift. I don't know what the lenses are for either set, but they both seemed to make lovely images when I've used them. I just wish I had the spare cash lying around. I'd pick up one of the Clairmont sets in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the info David. I've been shooting view cameras for 20 years so this idea really appeals to me. I had assumed that there was some sort of teleconverter effect as in Hasselblad's HTS, but I'm getting the impression that their are specific lenses to go with the mount that have the focal change of the adapter built into them???

I really wish the Birger Mount was as easy/flexible/Red approved as the Allstar (which I've just ordered) as I greatly prefer the Cannon Tilt/Shifts to the Nikons... my 17 is an amazing piece of glass.

Cheers,
CB

and... apologies if I've jacked your thread F/VESCO.
