Greetings,

So I've recently upgraded my follow focus kit and thus will be selling my Arri MFF-1 (Mini Follow Focus One).

This little guy has served me well for the two years of ownership. Purchased new from Abel Cine in Los Angeles and has been maintained and kept extremely well. I'm very OCD about my equipment - not a scratch on it and no slop in the gears. Complete follow focus unit included as pictured (with wheel and standard 0.8 cine pitch prime lens gear).

Prefer local Los Angeles pickup. Paypal only w/delivery upon funds confirmation.

Asking: $1750 OBO + shipping (if not a local sale).

Thanks for looking!
Adam

I am in LA and very interested. Question...I use cine lenses, mostly Zeiss CP2's and I am wondering if the MFF-1 is more "geared" for still lenses or "geared" for cine lenses with longer focusing throw? Thanks.

DEREK!!!
yo mate, what you doing here? I'll answer your question. The CP.2 and MFF1 are a great combo. BUT theres a guy here selling an Oconnor CFF too, and those are pretty friggin nice too and will be usable on bigger lenses as well like the optimo if you should ever need it. the MFF1 is made for smaller lenses, but still has the gearing for cine glass. PS, the arri come with squat, the oconnor comes with all sorts of goodies which is also nice. But whatever, the arri's are sick too.
cool,
call me sometime,

love my MFF1. You can flip the gearbox over for use with Nikons. Buy a bigger gear for larger lenses

MFF-1 is usable on any size lens, including the Optimos. You can also easily change the gear.

WoW! if my arri gear fell in price like that i'd cry.....usually low ball offers should be done in private.

Okay, I think it's a fair price for a unit that has been used for a couple of years. The owner has already earned the investment back. Very, very seldom - do I pay more than 45-50% of new price for second hand gear. In Norway there is a minimum of 2 year guarantee on new professional gear, and minimum of 5 year guarantee on personal items, so it makes little sense to pay more than 45-50% of new price...

Appreciate your offer Jon, I'll respectfully pass.

Also thanks Trey, Derek, and Milan for supplying the clarifications and additional detail. PM's sent as needed. Cheers fellas! :)

SOLD. Thanks guys.

@Ryan: This unit fits LWS 15mm rails (lightweight spacing). It can be adapted to fit 15 studio/19mm, but it is not truly meant for it. If you're looking for a system that fits all three standards interchangeably, you might want to look into OConnor's CFF-1 and O-Focus DM. Good luck.
