I'm placing a very rare Angenieux 11.5-138mm T2.3 HR Super16mm Zoom up for sale on ebay. In short, the current start price is $3,999 with a "Buy It Now" price of $4,399. This is a great deal for those who have heard about this lens.
Below is what I've written in the ebay listing. I'll attach some more pictures in the next post. Feel free to ask me any further questions. Also, if you mention you saw this on REDUSER, I will give you a $125 discount off the ebay "BUY IT NOW" . Thanks - Todd

Ebay listing:
Angenieux 11.5-138mm T2.3 Zoom (Aaton, Zeiss, Arri, RED)
Up for sale is a very rare Angenieux 11.5-138mm T2.3 HR Super16mm Zoom. This is widely regarded as the sharpest Super16mm zoom ever made (even sharper than many prime lenses) and able to resolve 200 lines per millimeter at the center of the image. This no doubt has a lot to do with the special "High Efficiency Coating" (HEC) of the optics Angenieux used with this lens design. I should also note that this is a factory Super16mm zoom, not a converted 16mm lens.
This lens is also known to perform excellent across all focal lengths and even when shot wide open, at its fast t2.3 aperture. The t2.3 aperture is also, flat, without ramping. Meaning, t2.3 across the whole zoom range. Something that cannot be said by the majority of zooms.
This is one of the best lenses for Super16mm and most likely a great 2K lens for RED (especially if you are trying to get the "Angenieux look", which is sought after by many cinematographers today, as noted by the extreme popularity of the Angenieux Optimo 35mm zooms on a great majority of high-end productions, and of course the HR zooms, as well). And perhaps this is a great 2K slow motion lens to match up to a shoot that is using Angenieux Optimo 35mm (or HR) optics... just a thought... all and all, a beautiful extremely high quality zoom that is still being used on high-end Super16mm (and digital) productions today.
You can get a feel for what this lens is capable of by reading the excellent below write up:

Visual products has this same lens for sale for $10,000 (granted, they are a dealer and understandably higher priced with their overhead). Regardless, at half that price this is an incredible deal.

The optics are pristine and the lens checked out perfect on the lens projector at Duclos Lenses (I was there with them a few weeks back and Paul at Duclos can confirm this) and in Paul's words, "it's a keeper". The reason I'm selling this lens is that I have two of these lenses (pictures are of actual lens for sale) and I am selling this one with the PL mount and am keeping the other version I have with the Aaton mount. This one actually checked out a little better on the lens projector, but I need the one with the Aaton mount for my Super16mm needs. I bought one of these from Canada, and the lens here for sale was bought with another lens I purchased from a reputable cine house in France. Paul Duclos even knew the previous owner (it's a small world in the cine lens community). Regardless, if you are in the U.S., you can get it here on ebay without the added shipping and duty taxes I had to pay to bring them overseas. The cost of the lens new in 1993 was $17,000, which should give you a good indication of the quality of this beautiful lens.
Below is a link to Duclos lenses should you need it. If you are serious about purchasing the lens and need reassurance, feel free to jog Paul's memory of the two Angenieux 11.5-138mm lenses he recently had up on the projector by his customer Todd Andereson:
http://www.ducloslenses.com/Duclos_Lenses/Main.html
Also, I also had Visual Productst make me a lens support ring (cost $225) that I will include with the lens (you can see the support in the pictures).
Two of these Angenieux 11.5-138mm zooms are currently being used to shoot the excellent Austrailian Cable TV show "Satisfaction" (Showtime Austrlia). If you go to the REDUSER link below, I've attached a pdf file of the Kodak article of the cinematographer discussing the use of these two lenses as his main two lenses on the production (I think they are in their third or fourth season using these lenses). I've purchased import DVD copies of two seasons of this show, and the look is amazing. Worth checking out if you get the chance.
Thanks for looking and listening.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Also, I am just an indie film guy, and not a dealer, so I have to sell this item 'as is' and don't have the luxury to take returns (the money is going towards other cine purchases). But feel comfortable in knowing that I have a perfect 100% ebay feedback.
One last thing, ebay is usually pretty off on their shipping quotes (note: insurance is required to ship this lens). I have put a flat rate of $50 in the 'handling fee' as an estimate on insurance. I don't mark up shipping, but just keep in mind that the price for shipping and insurance may vary by your location. I'll just charge you what they charge me.
Below are excerpts from the excellent Cinematechnic write up of this lens:
The Angenieux 11.5-138mm HR was developed from the design of the 10-120mm T2.0. The 10-120mm was Angenieux's answer to Zeiss' very popular 10-100mm T2.0. Angenieux upped the ante by going to a 12:1 zoom range design, at the same T stop, and used a much larger focus scale which was much better suited for "production" film work, (episodic televison, music videos, feature films for blow-up to 35mm, etc.), as opposed to the very compressed focus scale on the 10-1 Zeiss zoom.
The 10-120 lens incorporated Angenieux's new High Efficiency Coating (HEC), first introduced with the 25-250mm HP T3.7 zoom for 35mm. This extremely efficient HEC multicoating, transmitting 99.8% of light, greatly increases the sharpness and costrast of zoom lenses. The 10-120mm was the first zoom lens that Angenieux was able to market at being "equal to or better than the finest fixed focal length lens". This lens offered diffraction limited performance at T4, which means that all lens abberations are fully corrected, and the only limit on resolution is the bending of light rays (diffraction) around the edges of the iris blades. Truly remarkable performance for a zoom lens.
Angenieux increased the focal length by 1.15x which gave enough extra coverage to cover the larger Super 16 aperture. This is one of the sharpest zoom lenses ever made for Super 16 cinematography. Resolution in the center of the image is 200 lines per milimeter. This zoom lens outperforms many prime lenses for Super 16, especially at the edges of the frame! One of the few U.S. network Prime Time television shows shot on Super 16, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, was shot exclusively with the 11.5-138mm
When Century Precision, then the exclusive dealer for Angenieux film lenses in the U.S., introduced these lenses in 1993, they were priced at $16,950.00. In 1999, Angenieux discontinued the 11.5-138 HR, in favor of their new 7-81mm HR Super 16 zoom lens. List price in 1999 was $19,700.00.
