SOLD

I am putting for sale set of 3 anamorphic 2X lomo lenses. $12.600

35mm F2.7 square
50mm F2.5 round
75mm F2.4 round

All lenses are remounted with PL, gear, scale.
All lenses are clean, no fungus, no oil and very good optically and mechanically.
50 and 75 was sold to me as new, they are not, but close.
35mm was send to Russia few times to get it in a shape it is.
All lenses were adjusted on the collimator and are ready to shoot.

Ideally I would like to sale them locally, but open to offers.
Sample footage done with them (home video)

edit:
1. Purchased 16:9 camera that doesn't shoot anamorphic.
2. Need cash to buy new sticks

Looking for good 150mm tripod/head
I will consider exchange plus $.

Hi Albert,

I'm about to sell my 150mm head and legs. It's a Miller DS60 with two stage HD carbon fibre legs, and comes it and Nalpak hard travel case. I'm not sure if i would be interested in a swap with one of your lenses but definetly selling the sticks. If interested let me know and i can send you pics and more info...and if you want i can arrange an inspection from any of the local equipment retailers/hire companies.

cheers

Dude you why are you doing it, It's faster to buy stick than lenses. Especially at this time,,,, Dont do it>>

Seems like a competitive price. Maybe you might reassure buyers about the cosmetic condition verses the actual glass condition.

FYI :)

HAC Lomo anamorphics were the two piece design - normally OCT-18. The squarefront was mounted on rails (and has a permanent lower lens support built into the frame). The set for these was a 35mm and a 50mm/75mm (both lenses used the same Squarefront attachment).

BAS Lomo anamorphics were always 'one piece' and normally OCT-19. They featured a better design (as they were one lens). The squarefront set was 35mm, 50mm & 80mm. Obviously, Roundfronts are one piece too :)

Looking at the 35mm, my guess is it's a HAC that's been converted to a one piece (I've seen a few of these coverts and they can be excellent when done by a lens tech that knows his stuff). Also, looking at the lens design (and without the serial number) I'd say it's a mid to late 1960's vintage (?).

I'd try and keep hold of them, they can only increase in value now... but, if you need to sell, good luck with the sale!

Thank you Andy for explanation.
35 mm was modified by experienced lens tech. in Russia, but its not HAC.
Its still two element lens.

I was asked by few interested to get some footage.
since I just received the 35mm from service, I took some footage today and will post it tomorrow.
Love the image from those lenses...perhaps not the greatest idea to sale them:)

BTW
I've added some high res photos on the ftp

thanks

Hey David :)
Here is little home/family video test with those lenses.
I shot it yesterday and took about 20 min to do it, so please forgive the quality.
Applied small curve, but no further enhancements were done.
lomos carry very "filmic" image to my opinion, more then my Ultras...
Indoors shots were done with lenses almost wide open.

You can download from vimeo the source which is prores

Edit:
last shot says tripod, and obviously is not :)

Very good demonstration. You did a nice job showing how to achieve the Star Trek look with the well placed LEDs.
Hard to believe there was no sharpening. Cheers.

Totally agree with Andy - traditionally! :)
Mean - if you have to - no way out - well..... But try to find good lenses right now, especially anamorph... It is lot of about new Angenieux and Zeiss project but because of so complicated process of production it will be only for rentals - paradox of crisis - I dont belive in high investment with new line of production of most complicated project as anamorph lenses - if even Ultra Primes as no doubt optical high end in spherical still so expensive - 27 000 estimated per lens sounds... optimistic. If they really start someday - well we will see quality :)
In one word - thounsands of bodys like REDs, ALexa's, BMCC...and only few hundreds of good lenses....
