Hi Tim,

Which series of lights are you selling? I am looking for some DLH4 heads.

Best Stephen

Like RED, I reserve the right to refuse service to people with a BAD ATTITUDE.

You Stephen can find DLH4 heads here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/298701-REG/Dedolight_DLHDIM4U_DLH4_150W_Spotlight_with.html

These are a slighly older variant that look and operate identically, but are without the inline dimmer. (can be purchased separately) But these operate off the 150W power supply - which has 4 individual step dimmers.

As you took so long to reply I did some research, 99% sure those are the original Dedolights probably 15 years or more old, I bought DLH 2's in 1998, DLH3's in 2006 & more recently the Aspheric DLH4's.

The DLH4's are not identical but very different, different lenses, longer zoom range & more light.

The power supply in the picture is a 12V 100w, the 24v 150w has only 3 lights. Dedo has never made a 4 x 150 transformer. The newer transformers have trips rather than fuses.

That's a great deal at B+H, thanks for the link

Yes, they are amazing fixtures that LAST A LONG TIME... and work and work and work. NOTE: For serious buyers - Ill be happy to email the specs of this kit. Comes with original manuals and instructions. These are NOT DLH4, which have the aspherical upgrade.

They DO however also include 2 projectors which are fantastic for peppering walls with a gobo pattern.

Meantime, Stephen Williams... is also our resident TAX and LEGAL expert... really if it was up to him to tell you how talented and knowledgable he is... this forum would crash... Even with the new servers.

he's that brillaint oops I meant brilliant.

.

They are 4 x 100 watt 12V first generation Dedo lights, we are now on the 4th generation each was better than the last, I have upgraded to DLH3 & DLH4's. I would describe the DLH4's as a totally new design.

AFAIK the projectors are unchanged.

Good Luck & BTW Tim is enjoying the banter!

PS I do own an Epic M, I was shooting some dancers with it yesterday, 120fps 4KHD all day 10:1 compressed, with rented Red Pro Primes, quite a fanboy!

quite a fanboy!

of yourself.... I think we are all in agreement.

meantime.

Give it a rest, Tim.

Just trying to sell a very nice set of Dedo lights. Kind of hard with someone attempting to devalue the kit publicly while pretending to have interest in buying them... usually people with $ use thse tactics
right before the low ball offer.

These lights will last 20 more years with the right care. They are that well built. The case is just getting a little beat up as shown here. the still sell the exact same case. so
someone may want to go with innerspace. As this one is like a weak pelican with a turn key latch and arm system in the shell. The metal arm hits all the time. Like a car trunk does.
But it all fits snug as a bug and has protected the lights for years. THey are also super easy to modify and upgrade by a qualified electrician. Dimmers and more.

I bought the kit used, and it works great. The improvements are minimal
other than the Ashperical DL 4, and the 150W lamps that provide a bit more OOMPH. But the build quality and housings look and feel identical to current models. barn doors, housings look and feel the same too.
power supply uses car fuses (LOTS OF SPARES) However, most DP's I know use these as peppers to "layer your scenes" and create better scenic depth. (not main source lights) So the 100W bulb with a projector still "yields up to 1000W equivalent in a tiny form factor" accoding to manuals" Each unit has a slider for the lenses for spot to flood. These are lights for professionals, no doubt, and offer plenty of punch for creative lighting. Gobos and fun projections. Gels and speed and flexibility with numerous mounting options.

Thanks Rob -

The BEST part of DEDO Lights... are the projectors. and this one has the adjustable iris blade. They come in their own velvet lined drawstring pouches.

The Difference is huge as anybody who does a back to back test will find out, The DLH 4 that you linked to will produce 3-4 stops more light on full zoom, over the 100w original series. Not everybody was born yesterday.

4 Brand new 150 heads with Dimmers is $2840 which is what I will buy, I am interested in the 2 projectors, would you sell them separately thanks for your help & friendly manner.

Thanks for the technical comparisons. The price is also a huge difference, by the time you complete the kit and add up all the accessories. You have also shot successfully with these fixtures in the past, before you upgraded. You know full well how great DEDO's are. Thanks for the endorsement, I prefer not to break up the kit and have a sale pending.

Yes Dedo lights are great, I upgraded all my old fixtures, I was given $100 per light trade in, great deal I thought for 10 year old lights. Good luck with your sale.

Yeah, sounds about right. trade-in values are like that, usually about 25% of value so they can resell them for a profit.

KIT HAS SOLD.
