  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FS: 29' Mathews Tulip Crane

#862 had 2 more Arri Matteboxes buried on those shelves.

I just asked West Auction if they can have a notepad where people can volunteer their contact info to sell/trade gear.

Generally, seems like some people went a little nuts... bidding things way beyond what they sell for on eBay. That ILM/Lucasfilm pedigree stands for a lot, I guess.

Conrad, I have a spare MB14 138mm bellows if you're looking to buy one.

I was so tempted to try and bid against you on the MB14, but at the end of the day I really dont need such a monster MB

I did not attend this particular auction but I have been to auctions recently where people go NUTS. They literally bidding this stuff for 90% of retail... and then they get hit with a 15% buyer's premium. kind of defeats the purpose of going to an auction if you ask me.

That auction was crazy...people are crazy. I thought for sure I bid too much for ancient Arri FF-1
at the Kerner auction... but then got outbid by someone who ended up paying close to retail price
of a NEW Arri mini FF. 8|

There was also a nice Sachtler 30 with some gyros but was not sure if ILM had modified the head.

And whoever paid over $100 for each of those 50 c-stands should have called American for a volume
discount on new ones!

15 years of working that gear on many jobs.... sad to see it all go to auction. The whole Kerner thing really bums me out.

What was it that went under? I see everything stamped with "ILM", but surely ILM didnt go under... so what was going on?

Hey Alexis....

Got a few stories about your recent acquisition.... its seen some stuff. Yeah - who walked off with the Power Pod for $4500? Oh my.

Kirk got a lot of the camera goodies and lighting under 2K, I guess Cinderbiter will have a deep bench now. All the best

Anybody have any idea who got the sandbag carts? Know if they want to get rid of any?

I worked with that on Young Indiana Jones, George loved that thing, he bought it before he had ILM! Seats, Platform, Skymote nose 100' of custom track, that is a seriously nice package. It worked from American Graffiti all the way to Pirates of the Caribbean.
