International buyers welcome, but are responsible for all shipping charges and any associated duties with the system. If paying by PayPal, international buyers are also responsible for covering the additional International Surcharge fee that PayPal now charges on independent transactions.

* Have a 16GB RAM kit available in place of the 48GB or for sale separately for $90. (8 x 2GB Apple Factory / Hynix).

** System originally shipped with the ATI 4870 video card, which will be included with the purchase. Or subtract $650 from my asking price to buy with only the ATI 4870 installed.

I have adjusted the configuration / price as I have sold off some of the extra or optional components.

To answer a couple questions...

I will sell that second Quadro 4000 Mac Edition card separate from the system - $650. Includes original box, cables, etc.. Works perfect.

I will sell the workstation without the 4x2TB HDD's installed and will move the 1TB HDD from the lower optical bay to tray #1. - Subtract $1000 from my asking price.

I will sell the system without the installed Quadro 4000 card and will ship it with the ATI 4870 card in place - Subtract $650 from my asking price.

Lowest configuration:

Mac Pro 2009 8-core 2.93GHz
16GB RAM
ATI 4870 GPU
1TB 7200rpm 64MB cache HDD
LG Blu-Ray writer
Apple USB keyboard (current style)
Apple Mighty Mouse
OSX 10.7.3 (and 10.6.x and 10.5.x)...
iLife '11 (unless Bob really wants it)
$3000 or best offer. And yes, I'm open to offers. Also open for trades -- looking for various equipment RED and otherwise.

The original 16X SuperDrive is also included and I can throw that in the lower optical bay if the system is purchased with few enough hard drives to allow.

Second Quadro 4000 card has been sold, so it is no longer an option to purchase two of them with the system.

@brett... It was nice to meet you at NAB. And now that I think about it, you seem like the kind of guy who could really use a system like this. Come on, I'll make you a deal, even throw in free shipping. Just because it's you. :)

Original post adjusted to reflect everything currently available. I have sold the optional RAM upgrade kits and secondary quadro 4000 card. I do have other options for hard drives, inquire if interested.

Just had a sale fall through, so still available.

Please someone take this off my hands so I don't have to list it on eBay!

FWIW, I have bought gear from Jeff before, sale went perfect and gear was in excellent condition. He gets my "buy with confidence" endorsement.

Still available.

And since I've been using the system, I had to put some more memory in it last night so it could join in some rendering fun this weekend.

First post updated to reflect that it now is for sale with 48GB RAM.

Jeff- can this system run resolve for 4K grading?

Yes, the system runs Resolve quite well. In fact, it was my primary Resolve workstation for well over a year. For a time I ran it with a Cubix expander, but sold off the expander a few months back along with one of the GPUs. Then ran with two Quadro 4000 cards in the tower. It performed admirably for Premiere, Resolve and several other applications many of us use.

The system is now sold. It's funny, I didn't try that hard to sell it and only got an occasional inquiry. But after Apple's non-announcement, there were suddenly a flood of people asking about the system and wanting to buy.
