AppleCare warranty good through October 2009

This system is a couple years old and has served flawlessly during that time. Very good condition overall, keyboard shows some signs of regular use, as does the exterior of the unit, no dents or huge scratches. It has seen real-world service for over 2 years. Perfect working order. One month left on AppleCare. This is a great little system for anyone looking to save some money vs. buying a new one and it has the coveted ExpressCard-34 slot that all the new 15" models lack. It is the older aluminum design with the interchangeable battery, but requires opening the system to replace the hard drive. System originally shipped with a 120GB HDD, but it was replaced with a 320GB 7200rpm about a year ago.

This system has been a real champ for in the field RED production. It will play back 2K F, 3K H and 4K M proxies real-time when connected to a decent FW800 or eSATA HDD. Adobe CS4 runs very well on this system and this system has been used to cut nearly 100 corporate pieces, several commercials and two short films shot on RED. I highly recommend pairing this with the CalDigit FASTA-1ex or the Sonnet Pro eSATA cards (not included).

Pictures available on request. PM for more details or whatnot.

Make an offer - it's going to ebay in the next 24 hours

sorry jeff. That happens to me all the time when selling my apple computers on ebay. I have a 15" still in a box from a bad ebay auction a few months ago. Buyer hacked into a paypal account and paid me then had me overnight it to him with his prepaid fedex slip he emailed me. Then the next morning i got a call from the guy whos paypal account he hacked asking me who I was. I stopped the fedex guy in cali just in time. The crooks almost got away with it!!!!! Took me all day babysitting this thing to get it back........I was thinking of putting mine up here as well. Thanks for the reply on the LTO stuff !

Yep, I hate dealing with ebay, but sometimes it's still the best way to move your old gear. The auction went off normal for this system, winning bidder was an account with +21 100% positive feedback - guy from France. I sent the invoice with calculated shipping and then 2 days later, I get a request for an invoice to ship to the Ukraine and to respond to a different email address. What's funny is ebay caught on before I saw the email and they had already refunded my auction fees, deleted the old listing, etc.. So here we go again... Hopefully this one will end better.

Jeff, If I was $600 richer, I would buy this. If you like payments maybe we could work a deal. :p Ah well. I'll keep saving.
