  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello!
I'm trying to understand and answer some questions about a possible FC workflow for a feature.
I've been told that the plan is to work with the Log&Transfer so there would be an offline editing with the proRes files.
After that everything should be taken to the Colour plugin to work with the visual aspects of the movie.
Now, I understand that before going there, we should try to go back from the ProRes to the original R3D files.

(Or connect to the QuicktimeFULLproxy, is that OK?)

I'm doing some tests with a macbook pro, ingesting some files included in an external firewire800 hard drive. The offline process seems to work fine (though it's curious that sometimes the l&t takes several minutes before it really starts working at good speed, don't know why).
But when I try to go "online" with the files, according to the steps described in the white paper, FC doesn't seem to be able to find the clip it's looking for. The batch process of the new sequence doesn't work. I thought first that there could be a problem with the drive structure, folder's names and stuff, but I've tried many changes and nothing seems to work.

I hope someone here can take a little time to guide me into this process so I can see what I'm doing wrong. I'm not sure whatelse I can say for a start.

And by the way, I'd be glad to hear any advice about working with some 3K :yikes: videos on this same project.

Thanks for your time!
